3rd Workshop on Magnetic Nanoparticles and Hyperthermia
Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Welcome to the 3rd Workshop on Magnetic Nanoparticles and Hyperthermia: Anisotropy and Other Adventures, to be celebrated at the Facultade de Óptica e Optometría within the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, during April 19-21, 2023.
On this occasion, the meeting on magnetic fluid hyperthermia will consist of 2 days of invited talks, after a half-day devoted to tutorials.
The subject of the tutorial session will be the magnetic anisotropy, given its preponderant importance in heat dissipation mechanisms, and will cover aspects including the very basics of anisotropy, the role of nanoscale dimensions, determination, and relevance for related fields.
The research talks will include specific sessions devoted to i) how to determine the heating performance; ii) existence/ role of local heating; and iii) the role of dynamical evolution of the magnetic colloid under the AC field. While the workshop will mainly consist of invited talks, there will be a poster session at which students are especially encouraged to present their work.
